So, lets start with first stop - Shanghai.
The biggest city of China, Shanghai has been described as the world's fastest growing economy, and nt to say havin the busiest port in the world. Singapore comes next ^^.
Arrived at Pudong Airport at 5 am. Yeah, 5 AM in the mornin. 5 hours of hell in the plane. Gt off, the temp around is quite cold. Den jus wear a sweater over and start feelin HOT instaed. LOL.
Temp was around 11 degrees.
Den go and do the registration and stuff and met with our tour guide. Her surname was 王, so we all called her 王小姐. Den she start leadin us to the MAGLEV station.
The Maglev train uses magnetic levitation to move (everyone noes tat) and it reach up to 431km/h. Trust me, its so fast it looks so not real. Imagine yurself in a movin train and noticin hw u overtake the cars so fast tat they looks like they r movin back instead.
Thats the station track.
The train is super long ok. Took hours to reach one door.
And so we reached 龙阳. Probably some district in Shanghai. Took our laggage and walked towards the carpark. Saw lots of uncle smokin non-stop again. Den our travel bus come. One diff in singapore and china is tat, here we call 司机,there they call 师父. Our driver's surname was 缪,(pronunced as 'miao'), so we called him '缪师父'.
So we proceed to eat lunch at a 5 star restaurant, and their food gt served up real quick, unlike singapore's. Overall their food was nt bad and their rice was really superb. No wonder they like to eat rice so much.
And den we proceed to Pudong. Lots of super high rise buildings were here. All of diff shapes and sizes oso. Some shaped like ships, some curvy and some jus tall. Den we finally reach our destination - The Oriental Pearl Tower, or 东方明珠塔. It is the tallest tower in asian and third tallest in the world.
Sorry bout the inverted thin. Lazy to make it lateral inverted.
Can u see the words '东方明珠' ? Thats the sign board to entrace.
Tats where we will be goin to. Gaia expo is an expo hall showin the history of Shanghai. Insides are full of was people and models. I mean, models of thins, nt real models.
Looks real huh?
A local blacksmith. Jus like wat we always saw in shows.
Streets in shanghai r supposed to look like tat, i think. Again, we always sees them in shows.
There r still lots more, but being lazy i guess 3 is enough. After tat we left the expo and it was near pitch dark outside. And guess wats the time? Its 5.30 pm.After tat we went on a small cruise arounf 黄埔河. The river was freakin big and like one round takes 30 mins. The scene on shore was great too. And on the river we were freezin. Temp around 6 degrees.
Told u tis tower its freakin big. The other skyscrapers looks like scraps compared to it. Lol.
Can u see the cruise decorated with blue lights? We ride on somethin like tat, but nt as bright. Blue light invites mosquitoes.
And so after tis we went to eat at another 5 star restaurant...i will jus skipped the part till where we stay in at the hotel. Yeah, its a 5 star hotel.
Nevertheless, The night scene in shanghai is indeed beautiful. No wonder they say 秋北京,夜上海,雨桂林,雾重庆. The nightlife of Shanghai was supposed to be the best in the whole of china. But i wun consider stayin there, cause i dun wanna cram myself with 20 million other residents. Yea, this is one of china's most populated cities, and people from all around china come here and work.
Well, tat sthe end of day 1, and maybe tomoro i will post day 2. So stay tuned!
